I joined Pluck It! Music Brand for the second time this year at the Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival. You can read about my first experience here – PLUCK IT! MUSIC BRAND PRESENTS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS WITH TOP TALENT IN BLUEGRASS AT INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH
This time came with a new set of artists to talk with and more to experience with Pluck It! behind the scenes. With custom shirts being made on-site and constant jam-with-band sessions with Paige Capo next to us, our corner of the room was the place to be for guests in between the sets of talented artists. I was able to grab a few of them to talk about their new music and upcoming events.
The Price Sisters
With a new album set to release next February, The Price Sisters are excited to be performing music from the upcoming album. We talked about being back in their home state and the story behind the recent singles, “Ten Cent Pistol” and “When I’m Not Thinking About You“. Be sure to stream their music and follow them @thepricesisters for the latest on new music and upcoming shows.
Lizzy Long
I had so much fun talking with Lizzy Long of The Little Roy and Lizzy Show. With her southern accent and lime green sequin pants, you can’t help but smile when you’re with her. Lizzy told me about their latest album release, Live From The Shed, and some of the stories behind the songs. Lizzy also shared about the fun she has with Little Roy on stage and their plans for the 11th annual Little Roy and Lizzy Music Festival at the Lewis Family Homeplace in Lincolnton, Georgia. You can follow along with her @lizzy_long_music and stream the album now.
Adam McIntosh
Adam’s new single, “Baby, You Ain’t Baby Anymore” is the first release from his upcoming debut solo album in March. Adam talked with me about the song, the inspiration for the music on the album, how he hopes it helps listeners, and what he is looking forward to performing most. He also shared about partnering with Paige Capo to raise funds for Hope’s Closet to help with fostering children, a cause near to his heart as Adam and his wife are currently foster parents. To learn more about Adam’s music visit picksandgrins.com, follow him @Adam_mcintosh_music, and stream the new song now.
Chosen Road
I was in awe when I heard Chosen Road perform; the way their music captures the audience and brings everyone together to sing for God’s glory is truly special. I was able to talk with Jonathan about the influences of their sound and the inspiration for their latest album, It Never Gets Old. The single “Never Gets Old” tells about how the Gospel never gets old and will carry you through every stage of life. Chosen Road’s Hometown Christmas Show is coming up on December 9 in Bluefield, West Virginia. Be sure to follow them @officialchosenroad and stream the album now.
Autumn Watson
I loved getting to know Autumn Watson while at the Pluck It! booth. She is a talented musician and songwriter from North Carolina. In addition to playing with her sister Carley Arrowood, Autumn is working on writing music, working at events with Pluck It!, and writing articles covering those events for Bluegrass Today. You can read her write-up of the opening night here – Day 1 at 23′ Fall Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival.
Autumn told me all about what it was like growing up playing music and the inspiration behind her songwriting with a song titled “The Mess We Made“, set to release on Carley’s upcoming album. Autumn enjoys working with Pluck It! as they support both artists and listeners, she talks with people about the musical products when they visit the booth and can make you a custom shirt in minutes. I can’t wait to hear the music she has been writing and to work with her at a future festival. Follow her @autumn_gee.
I’m so thankful to Pluck It! Music Brand for having me at this event again. Stay tuned for these interviews on Pluck It! Music Brand’s YouTube channel and socials.
