Cali Tucker is “Country Couture” and sings all about it in her latest single. From growing up in Nashville to performing nightly in Las Vegas, she is now known as Miss NashVegas and is carving out a sound of her own. Her latest release, “Country Couture”, celebrates self-worth, confidence, and striving for more. Cali talked with me about the influence her mom, renowned recording artist LaCosta Tucker, and aunt Tanya Tucker, had on her growing up. Yet, Cali took her career into her own hands having gained national recognition on Season 6 of The Voice after joining Team Blake and becoming a finalist. Since then, she has risen to prominence as a headlining act in Las Vegas, captivating audiences with her remarkable talent as a live performer. Cali’s self-designed solo show is highly interactive, featuring her rich vocals, infectious humor, and dynamic stage presence. Read on about her hard work, learning to know her self-worth and always striving for more, which led her to embrace who she is – Country Couture.
The Journey To Vegas
With her Mom and Aunt in the industry, Cali went on the road with them as a young girl. She loved being surrounded by music, being backstage, and seeing the crowds react with so much energy and happiness. This led her to want to create music in her own way and develop her own sound as an artist. While she was brought up in country music, in middle school she was introduced to other genres including alternative rock, rap, and hip hop, that she was never exposed to as a kid. For years, Cali worked in the music industry while pursuing her career in Nashville. However, she found herself stuck and wasn’t able to dial in on what she wanted to say in her music. It wasn’t until she moved to Las Vegas that things started to click.

Deciding to move to Vegas was both the scariest and most exciting moment in her life. She told her mom she wanted to go to Vegas to perform and sing nightly. She found a little apartment, and slept on an air mattress, then when it went bad she slept on a pile of clothes until she could afford a bed. She hustled, networked, and kept learning new songs. It wasn’t easy but she is so proud she did that. “I knew I wanted to try for more in my life and if I didn’t take the chance and the risk, I would never know and be stuck. I’ve always been a hard-working person, I was bound and determined to not fail and not be a person who had regrets.” Cali knew she wouldn’t have grown if she had stayed in Nashville. She’s been performing six nights a week for ten years. She had to learn songs, stage presence, and what type of music feels good to sing. She says being able to adapt, pivot in different circumstances on stage, and have control of the audience has helped her develop and fine-tune her craft.
Embracing Who She Is

Cali loves both the glamourous lifestyle she has in Vegas and the country life she had growing up in Nashville – riding horses, driving trucks, and bonfires. In the song, “Country Couture”, Cali highlights high-end brands that she enjoys adorning and shopping for, but deep down she remains the same relatable country girl who can throw on a t-shirt and dig deep into working on a farm. “Country Couture” allows Cali to commemorate who she is on the outside while also realizing the true beauty of who she is as a woman on the inside.
Cali loves to be creative with her style and have fun, she wore 32 outfits filming the music video. She showcased her mom’s vintage clothing, dresses she wore in pageants, the crown and sash she won at 15 years old, and a dress she wore to her eighth-grade prom. She also paid an ode to icons Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.

Besides showing her different lifestyles of dressing glam one day and wearing jeans the other, she wanted to send a message in the song of not settling, knowing your worth and your value. She wants people to be inspired to figure out a way to make their dreams happen. She encourages others to strive for more and not settle whether it’s a goal to own a designer handbag or have a better relationship – know your worth and your value. “Know you’re worth, know your value, you are worth more. Let’s raise the bar… whatever that means to you,” says Cali, “I want people to know their self-worth and strive for more… Be fabulous, whatever that looks like for you, and be unapologetic about it.” Vegas has opened her eyes to so much more than one style of music and entertainment. “What I do now is so uniquely my own that it would be hard to emulate.” She also looks forward to when she goes back to Nashville and can bring what she has learned to those stages and audiences.
Looking Forward

Despite showing her happy bubbly side in this new song, there have been hard times that led to this moment and it hasn’t always been easy for her. “I’m so grateful for this place of peace I am in finally,” says Cali, “There have been struggles, but I hope to lead by example so (others know) they’re not alone. You’re going to get there you just can’t give up.” She encourages others to live with no regrets because if you don’t try you’ll never know. “I want to do all these things and it’s all possible. If I just say I’m going to do it and figure out a way to do it, it’s going to happen… You have to be hungry enough to want it,” says Cali.
Cali is exclusively performing in Vegas right now and has plans to release another new single after Labor Day. She can’t wait to share her music, tour, get signed, go to new cities, meet people, and build her fanbase. There is even more music to come in 2025 as she is working with her producers and co-writers who give her creative freedom and control.
