25 Female Artists I’m Watching in 2025 + Favorite Releases Part 4

By Lauren Schwab Eyre

2024 saw a lot of great releases from female country music artists. While it was hard to narrow down my favorites, I’ve picked 25 female artists I will continue to watch in 2025, plus their recent releases I love. Their music touches on female empowerment, heartbreak, remaining true to oneself, and embracing who they are meant to be. Now that we are halfway through the year, here is part four with more women who have risen in 2024 and have already accomplished big dreams this year (Read part one, part two, and part three here).

LINDSAY ELL

Since her 2017 single release of “Criminal” and album, The Project, I’ve been following Lindsay’s music. Her guitar talent is unreal and her down-to-earth personality allows her to connect with her fans on a personal level. From her livestreams during the pandemic to tour vlogs and videos sharing her thoughts, Lindsay will always have me engaged. She has a lot to celebrate as she has been touring with Shania Twain, a judge on America’s Got Talent Canada, and releasing new music. Her EP, Love Myself, and single, “Story I Tell Myself” sheds light on mental health and self-love. “Discomfort has become my best friend. as hard as it has been for me to feel, it’s been so valuable in what I’ve learned. uncertainty has not been my favorite thing over the years and still isn’t, but by becoming more familiar with it, I have gained so much clarity into where I need to go next in my life,” says Lindsay. Her recent releases of “Unloving You” and “Magic” demonstrate how connected Lindsay is to the message in her music and she says songwriting is a form of therapy for her. She doesn’t shy from being vulnerable or lifting others up. I can’t wait to see all Lindsay continues to acomplish and the music she will share.

BELLES

With all the vintage country vibes, Belles has me hooked on her music. This Nebraska-raised girl told me all about growing up in musical family and her solo music journey which started with making the decision to stop pursuing her college degree and move to music city. You can read all about it here. Earlier this year she released a beauitful single, “Porcelain,” followed by “Happy Hour,” “Broken In Boots,” and a duo with Blake Wood, “Crazy As Me.” Some of my other favorites that she told me about in our interview are “What In The Truck” and “Trust Issues.” The details in her music videos bring each song to life. I’m so excited to hear all the original music to come from this brunette Dolly as she teased us with this “Son of Jolene” son on her Instagram. She is going on an acoustic tour this fall, so check out the dates here.

KC JOHNS

Discovering KC Johns music on a trip to Key West, FL was just what I needed – a little rock in my country or country in my rock, whichever way you want to see it, KC Johns is the perfect combination of rock n’ roll and classic country music. Her hit, “Rodeo Queen” sky rocketed on the Texas country music charts and social media. She shared with me the story behind this song and creating her signature sound, you can read all about it here. KC is always on the road, but doesn’t slow on releasing new music. Her recent singles, “Kind of Vibe,” “Smoke Show,” and “Break From The Heart” are head bangers for a honky tonk scene. KC is a must to watch live so you should def check out her tour list here.

MEGAN KNIGHT

Since her EP release of, My Drama, I could tell Megan Knight was a true artist. The relatable lyrics take the listener through each stage of grief after a relationship ends – denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance. You can read our full interview here. Now, I’m rediscovering all Megan has been up to including listening to her most recent singles, “Shot In The Dark,” “I Love A Cowboy,” and “Boots On The Ground.” Each song and music video is a work of art that draws you right into its story. I love her raw sound with a western edge. If you need me, I will be listening to every song release of hers from the past three years and I suggest you do the same.

ZANDI HOLUP

Zandi has finally released her debut album! Since discovering Zandi’s music and falling in love with her sound through her single releases of “Gas Station Flowers” and “Dirty Wings,” I’ve been patiently waiting for this new collection of songs titled, Wildflower. Zandi’s sound and songwriting is truly one of a kind. She pairs country folk melodies with a Stevie Nicks sound in her vocals. She is deep, sad, vulnerable and most of all relatable on so many levels. Her songs resonate and are throughtfully crafted. Each lyric is so descriptive and sang with such raw emotion. When I listen to her newest single and album title song, “Wildflower,” it takes me back to when I was a girl laying in the open farm field. No cares, no social media, just one with the Earth and thankful for who I am. Her music makes you reflect, allows you to be ok with being sad, and leaves you in aw of everything that comprises love and life.

“I can’t believe I finally get to say this… my debut album Wildflower is yours today. These songs were the ones you wanted, the ones you connected with. I hope you love it as much as I do. Listen to this album laying in the grass, and forget the box of tissues, just let tears stream down your face. I love you,” says Zandi.

This was just a glimpse into what Lindsay, Belles, KC, Megan and Zandi have accomplished so far this year. I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do and stay tuned for part five of 25 Female Artists I’m Watching In 2025.
