The last few months have been hard for many of us. In a time where we all need a glimpse of hope, Bennley Brown releases her debut single “One More Hallelujah“. The music video captivates her delicate yet impactful voice. Taking us through a small white church, turning to the Bible for hope and appreciating all she has in life on a beautiful California country side. “And you just hit the floor, cause your so thankful for one more hallelujah,” sings Brennley.
Since meeting Brennley at the National FFA Convention I have seen a light in her to share her faith and inspire others. Everything she posts on social media is positive and full of love. At just 18 years old she is a role model to all ages. Living a life true to her faith through music is how Brennley uplifts us all. Since being named a semi-finalist on NBC’s The Voice, she has been creating music to release this year. “One More Hallelujah” is the just the beginning of the hope filled music with her stunning voice we can look forward to hearing.
“Sometimes life ain’t easy. Sometimes you’re prayin out loud. It feels like no one’s listenin, like you’re being pushed around. The days of wine and roses have turned into water and thorns, and you wish you had a river you could jump on in and be reborn,” sings Brennley to the soft melody.
Written by singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith and produced by Luke Wooten, Brennley connected with the song and wanted to share the message through her music combining her faith and gospel roots. “In these trying times, we all need desperately to hear that still, small voice whisper to us, ‘It’s going to be ok.’ It’s a peace that passes all understanding. It’s that ‘One More Hallelujah’,” Brennley shares with The Christian Beat.
“Letting go what you can’t change. Working through the heartache. Pickin yourself back up again when your car ain’t startin. Stayin up all night pacing the floor wanting nothing more than to finally hear God’s voice whisper to ya. And your knees just hit the floor, cause we’re all just lookin for one more hallelujah,” she sings in the beautiful church.
Although many of us haven’t been able to go to church during this time, God is always with us and the song reminds us to keep our faith, hope and trust in Him. Music brings us together wherever we are. Follow @brennleybrown on Instagram for her inspiring words and music.
